Among the substantial tenders we were successfully awarded was one worth R6.2m from DaimlerChrysler South Africa through electrical contractor
North and Robertson's relationship with this company, DCSA, spans decades and goes back to 1965 when the company supplied electrical equipment
to Car Distributors and Assemblers and continued when the company changed its name to Mercedes Benz and now DCSA.
We operate a continuous - 24 hour a day, 7 days a week - service. All departments at DCSA have been supplied with Paddy De Lacy's cell phone number.
DCSA have taken advantage of our total availability on a number of occasions including emergencies when cabling was needed over an Easter weekend shutdown and at 2am following a hailstorm which knocked out the plant's min switchboard after a circuit breaker
blew. We received a call from DCSA staff at 2am saying they needed to replace the circuit breaker. We had one in stock, it was delivered and by 6am when the factory was due to start work there was a full supply of power to the plant. North and Robertson were also able to source and supply 1.5 tons of urgently needed Lapp Cable
needed in the construction of the new W203 paint shop.
Despite the weight the cable was ordered from Germany, placed on plane and delivered in less than a week with no delay in the work on the building of the facility.
It is this sort of service that has led to high levels of customer loyalty that North and Robertson has built up this city and in the rural areas of the Eastern Cape
